Research Data Management Series - Part 6
Getting ready to share your data but not sure where it belongs? Choosing the right repository is a key step in ensuring your data is preserved, discoverable, and reusable. This session offers guidance on how to evaluate repositories based on key criteria such as scope, accessibility, searchability, and long-term sustainability. While the content is broadly applicable, special attention will be given to NIH-supported repositories and expectations under the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe key features to consider when selecting a data repository
- Locate appropriate repositories using directory tools such as re3data and NIH data sharing resources
- Evaluate repository policies to determine alignment with your data management and sharing plan and funder requirements
